- As of 2014, 70% of top tech company employees were male
- This is an interesting article that suggests that part of the explanation for the employment imbalance in the tech industry is at least partially due to video game marketing in the 1980’s. While I am sure there is not parity in the current industry, I would be interested to know what the last six years has done to close the gap if at all.
- The above is a link to an info-graphic showing employee breakdown at some of the biggest tech firms by sex and ethnicity. Only one company has parity between the sexes. All others are heavily male.
